Children sit or lie around the edge of the parachute with their feet under the parachute, holding it at waist level.

One child is chosen to be the alligator that slithers under the parachute and gently pulls at the other children's feet. Once someone's feet are pulled they disappear under the parachute, screaming if they like to add to the excitement of the game.

The person who is caught then becomes an alligator and starts to slither around under the parachute catching feet.

While the game continues the people around the edge should shake the parachute. They can also make swamp noises to add to the atmosphere.

The alligators must be careful not to pull the legs of people too hard in case they bang their heads etc.
