Parachute Challenge

The parachute is laid flat on the floor and the children lie on top of it spread out.

The teacher then gives out various challenges which the children can do for fun or see who does it the quickest and is the winner.

This is a positive building activity allowing for positive comments on shape, speed and effort.

Ezamples of challenges are:

First person to stand on one leg.
First person to lie on their backs and move their legs in the air like they are cycling.
First person to rest on their knees and elbows.
First person to lie on their side and have an arm and a leg in the air.
First person to rest on their knees and their head.
First person to lie on their front and have no arms or knees touching the floor.
