Parachute Activities

Chase and Run

Divide the players into two teams. One team stands on one side of the parachute and the other team stands on the other side.

There are two balls of different colours. Each team has one of the balls.

One ball is called the Chaser, the other ball is the Runner.

The parachute is held at waist height. The two balls are placed on the parachute in front of their team.

On the leader’s command to start the Chaser ball tries to hit the Runner ball by manoeuvring the parachute up or down or sideways.

As soon as the balls collide, the Runner becomes the Chaser and the Chaser the Runner.

If the Chaser ball comes off the parachute, one of its team collects it and has a free throw at the Runner.

If the Runner balls comes off the parachute it can be put back where that the person picking it up chooses.

The game can be played with more balls as Runner balls

They should be different colours and they can be given various numerical values, which give points to the Chaser team when a Runner ball is hit.

Someone should be outside the game keeping the score.
