The education of children is set by the National Curriculum body. There is a range of key stages numbered from 1 and 2 and further. At the end of each stage a National Curriculum subject has a target for every child. Homework and learning for these children requires that they reach a particular level of skills and understanding of the topic. Each key stage is set by the National Curriculum and children get a range of homework and exercises aimed at keeping this knowledge fresh in their heads. The assessment of children is ongoing through these key stages 1 and 2 and teachers and parents need to take an active role in their childrens' educational careers.
Key stage 1 and key stage 2 is a learning journey of education for your children and pupils. The National Curriculum is mostly aimed at setting a high level of standards for education. There are a range of online services aimed at children to help with learning and revision. Key Stage 1 is for 5 to 7 year olds while Key Stage 2 is for 7 to 11 year olds.
