Welcome to the English section of the Key Stage 1 classroom. Within KS1 English you will find online @school assessment tests that will help children to enhance their learning and revise the subject of English at Key Stage 1 level.
The activities in this KS1 English area will help children to develop their knowledge of speaking and listening, handwriting, and drama.
The main part of the KS1 English section is the English literacy area which includes Key Stage 1 learning materials at Word Level including word recognition, phonics, blends and spelling; Sentence Level including punctuation and grammar, and; Text Level including writing, fiction, nonfiction, poetry, books and nursery rhymes.
This section also includes National Literacy Strategy Resources targeted at Key Stage 1 learners.
The resources and activities in the KS1 English section are in an interactive, online, or printable format that brings a differing dynamic to the subject for children studying at Key Stage 1.
