Parachute Activities How many, how long.

The parachute is laid down flat on the floor. A stop watch or a very large egg timer will be needed for the teacher. These can be used to get the children to find out things like, how many times can they go round the parachute in a minute. This can be varied by going round running, or walking or hopping. This could be used to work out the length of time it took to do just one circuit of the parachute. The children could be encouraged to think up ideas of their own for measuring time using then parachute.
