The parachute has numbers attached to it round the edge. The children hold the parachute at waist level. The teacher places the ball onto the parachute.

The teacher calls out a number. The children have to lift or lower the parachute so that the ball rolls to the number called. When the ball reaches the number called, the person holding that number calls out another number and the team has to roll the ball there, and so on.

If the ball falls into the hole in the centre of the parachute, the person to whose number the ball was supposed to go is the one who goes under the parachute to collect the ball and take it to their numbered position. The game then resumes.

The numbers could be stuck on the children.
