The KS1 Science area covers life processes and living things including humans and animals, green plants, variation and classification, and looking at animals in their environment and habitat.
The importance of keeping healthy and knowing the human body is dealt with, and children can research different animal types like birds, mammals, reptiles, fish and others. Children have the opportunity to investigate different materials and their properties by looking at changing materials and grouping materials. The Physical Processes section also helps children learn about Electricity including circuits and their elements; forces and motion including friction, magnets and springs, and forces in action like push and pull. Light and Sound are also covered. The @school activities are in an interactive, online test, or printable format, bringing a different dynamic to the subject. Throughout Science children are encouraged to investigate and try out ideas and experiment.
