Within the KS2 Information and Communication Technology section children have the ability to learn about communicating information via word processing, through art and music, via email and websites and by using presentation software such as PowerPoint.
Handling Information is an important ICT skill so this area helps children to learn by using graph packages, databases, spreadsheets, the internet and CD ROMs. Children studying at Key Stage 2 level are able to develop and test their knowledge of handling information through interactive activities, printable resources and online quizzes.
Communicating Information is also an important element of KS2 ICT. Within this area children can find step-by-step instructions to help develop their word-processing and keyboard skills. They can also learn how art and music can help to communicate information through a number of interactive activities.
